Contracts Engineering Ltd is now listed on the supplier register used across UK aerospace and defence
Contracts Engineering Ltd is now a JOSCAR-registered sheet metal fabricator. Defence prime contractors and their supply chains can access its compliance information through a single register.
JOSCAR (the Joint Supply Chain Accreditation Register) is the shared pre-qualification system that major aerospace, defence and security organisations, including BAE Systems and Rolls-Royce, use to assess suppliers. Registered companies hold one record that buyers can review before engaging, so onboarding moves faster.
The registration builds on Contracts Engineering’s ISO 9001 certification and its APQP and PPAP quality processes. The company has invested in robotic MIG and TIG welding so that clients get consistent output at volume, while its skilled welders focus on work that needs human judgement. Its capabilities also include laser cutting, CNC punching and bending, and mechanical assembly. Powder coating and blast finishing are provided through sister company Custom Wytelyne Ltd.
Dave Fisk, Managing Director of Contracts Engineering, said: “Every defence programme that brings fabrication back to the UK needs a supplier who can take a complex assembly from first article to volume, with traceability on every part. That’s the challenge we built Contracts Engineering to solve. JOSCAR puts our compliance record in front of potential partners before the first conversation.”
